2026 Greenstone Ridge Excursion – Choose July 10-20, OR Aug 21-31

Description

All excursions include a hotel room (single or double occupancy depending on your booking) the night prior to departure, all ferry passages, all gear as needed, pre-trip planning assistance, pre-departure safety briefing, gear check and weigh-in, and an experienced guide to lead the party.

This excursion is amenable to fishing the inland lakes.

Itinerary:

• hotel in Copper Harbor; pre-departure gear and safety review
• board the Isle Royal Queen IV to Rock Harbor; optional hike to Scoville point (5 miles)
• hop via Voyageur II to Windigo; moose watching and day hiking near Washington Creek
• hike the Greenstone Ridge Trail to Island Mine (7 miles)
• hike the Greenstone Ridge Trail  past Mt. Desor to South Lake Desor Campground (6.5 miles)
• hike the Greenstone Ridge Trail to Hatchet Lake Campground (8.5 miles)
• hike the Greenstone Ridge Trail to West Chickenbone Lake (8.9 miles)
• hike the Greenstone Ridge Trail to the Daisy Farm Trail into Daisy Farm Campground (8.2 miles)
• hike the Rock Harbor Trail to Three Mile Campground (4.2 miles)
• hike the Rock Harbor Trail to Rock Harbor and return to Copper Harbor via the Isle Royale Queen IV
