Description
All excursions include a hotel room (single or double occupancy depending on your booking) the night prior to departure, all ferry passages, all gear as needed, pre-trip planning assistance, pre-departure safety briefing, gear check and weigh-in, and an experienced guide to lead the party.
This excursion is designed for beginner or intermediate hikers.
Itinerary:
- hotel in Copper Harbor; pre-departure gear and safety review
- Isle Royal Queen IV to Rock Harbor; permitting, and hike to 3-Mile (3 miles)
- hike to Daisy Farm (4.2 miles), optional day hike on the Daisy Farm Trail (4 miles)
- hike to Moskey Basin (3.9 miles) with optional day hike to Lake Ritchie (added one mile)
- hike to Daisy Farm (4.8 miles) with optional day hike to the Greenstone Ridge lookout via the Daisy Farm Trail
- hike to 3-Mile via Ojibway Tower Trail along the Greenstone Ridge and descend on the Mt. Franklin Trail to 3-Mile OR along the Rock Harbor Trail to 3 Mile as per group wishes
- hike from 3-Mile to Rock Harbor and return to Copper Harbor via the Isle Royale Queen IV
