- Hotel room in Copper Harbor prior to departure.
- Queen IV to Rock Harbor. Arriving approximately 11:30 am.
- Dockside Orientation and permitting; hike 3.0 miles to Three Mile Campground.
- Hike 1.7 miles up the Mount Franklin Trail to the Greenstone Ridge Trail, passing by the Mount Franklin Fire Zone of 2022. Then we will travel westward along the Greenstone Ridge Trail 2.8 miles to the Ojibway Fire Tower with a stop at the Mount Franklin Lookout. Travel south 1.7 miles along the Mount Ojibway Trail into Daisy Farm for the night, possibly attending the Moose Watch presentation if it is available.
- Then we either hike 4.2 miles along the Rock Harbor Trail to Three Mile Campground for the night hiking the final 3 miles into Rock Harbor on June 5th, or we hike 7.2 miles along the Rock Harbor Trail directly to the Rock Harbor Campground for the night, allowing clients to go to the restaurant/grill for a possible burger/pizza, etc. (at their own expense).
- Finally, we meet up at the dock to prepare for boarding and departure on the Queen IV at 2:45 pm.

- Hike the Greenstone Ridge Trail to Island Mine Campground (7.5 miles) with optional viewing of Island Mine ruins (2.5 miles)
- Hike the Greenstone Ridge Trail past the highest point on the island at Mt. Desor to South Lake Desor Campground (6.5 miles)
- Hike the Greenstone Ridge Trail to Hatchet Lake Campground with a stop at the Ishpeming Point fire tower for lunch (9.5 miles)

Options
Gear Use is Included (if necessary) with all of our excursions.
Gear Rental is available to anyone traveling from either Houghton or Copper Harbor, Michigan. We are located just off US-41 in L’Anse, Michigan. Conveniently, enroute to the Keweenaw Peninsula. Gear must be reserve by phone and paid for in advance online. A security Deposit is required at the time of pickup and will be returned when the gear is returned in good condition. Our paid clients have priority in using our gear, so call us to check for availability.
Our rental gear consists of Osprey Atmos (men’s) and Aura (women’s) 65 AG backpacks, 15 degree down sleeping bags, Klymit R4 insulated sleeping pads, as the core of the gear.
$200 per single-occupancy (single-person tent; two water bottles, one sleeping pad, sleeping bag, pillow, backpack, cup, spoon, stove, fuel, pot, headlamp, toilet paper, trowel; two water bottles, two trekking poles)
$360 for double-occupancy (two-person tent; two sleeping bags, sleeping pads, pillows, backpacks, cups, spoons, headlamps, toilet paper; one stove, pot, water filter; four water bottles and four trekking poles)
